Madelyn Deutch is a multidisciplinary artist from Los Angeles, California. 

Beginning in music she attended Los Angeles County High School for the Arts as a vocalist, then went on to receive a BFA at The New School for Jazz and Contemporary Music on merit based scholarship. She then turned much of her focus to filmmaking and composing - going on to act in independent films such as “50-1” and SXSW's narrative competition finalist “Teenage Badass”, and television like Emmy nominated mini series “Texas Rising” and Cinemax’s “Outcast.” 

She has directed music videos for artists such as Jarina DeMarco, Jose James, and Little Monarch. Her feature screenwriting debut "The Year of Spectacular Men" premiered at the LA Film Festival and was released theatrically in 2018, with Madelyn playing the lead role, composing the musical score, and spearheading the music supervision. 

She recently wrote the adapted screenplay for NYT Bestselling Novel "CRANK", original screenplay “Big Surprise” for Retrofit Films, and joined the writing staff on the Audible scripted pods "A Total Switch Show” and “My Guy Died.” Her screenplay for a contemporary musical adaptation of “Alice in Wonderland” for Gunpowder and Sky recently attached director Carlos Lopez Estrada, and she creative directed and photographed posters, social marketing materials, and opening titles for both seasons 1 and 2 of Hulu’s hit show “How I Met Your Father.”
